Outstanding! I spent quite a while on the phone yesterday with Kyle (Earthwalk tech support) setting up the wireless so the laptops would connect to my network. What a great guy! Very patient, knowledgeable, and he has a good since of humor, too.
Please pass that along for me! I would like you to know that it has been a pleasure doing business with you and your company.
Thank you!

Battery life has always been an issue at our schools when it comes to our laptop mobile carts. We considered the SideKick to provide us with prolonged battery life...and have been impressed. My office will most certainly recommend this product to our schools in need of a prolonged battery life solution.

          Keith Cooper, Senior Administrator
Wake County Public School System, Raleigh, NC
In researching mobile computer labs, several of the area schools recommended EarthWalk products mainly for the durability of the laptops and the quality (long life) of the batteries. We selected the SmartCart because we have limited space and few available eletrical outlets, as well as minimal computer ports. This was the best option for us to be able to create a computer lab so that we can provide training to our library patrons. We also purchased the LAN [eXpress 8x8] trunk so that we will be able to take it to our Community locations in order to provide training throughout the county. This equipment has allowed us to setup a computer lab in a building that is otherwise not equipped to have one.

I have been extremely pleased with the EarthWalk SmartCart, LAN [eXpress 8x8] trunk, and eBuddy laptops. The equipment is durable and those who have used the cart have been able to do so easily and with success.

EarthWalk, from initial contact and throughout the school year, has provided our school division with outstanding service. Their mobile labs has enabled us to enrich the educational experience of our students, and we are looking forward to our future experiences with EarthWalk.

          Scott Kiser, Director of Technology
          Norton City Schools, Norton, VA
We were in need of more compupter access for students due to the lack of lab facilities as those that we have had [in the past] were rarely available. The cart has provided greater student access in this regard. What we did not anticipate was the cart also being used by faculty during inservice training. It is much more convenient for them to work with wireless notebooks around a conference table than to try and hold the meeting in a computer lab or move in several desktop computers to a conference room. Our cart is setup with an LCD projector and printer so that we wheel it in and are setup in just a couple of minutes. This cart is now continuously scheduled and we are looking at adding another one.

The total design of the EarthWalk mobile computer lab addressed each of our concerns. We have limited electrical [outlets] in the classrooms. A single power source to charge the laptops and batteries that only uses 7 amps is perfect. Having the extra, charged battery, in the cart was wonderful. No messy cords and external battery chargers lying around the room. The size of the 16 bay cart meant that you did not have to hire a mover to get the carts fromone end of the buildng to the other. EarthWalk's mobile computer labs have met our needs to a "T." It is the cart that I would have designed if I had, had the time and resources to do so.

Mr. Warren Smith, District Technology Coordinator
East Jackson Community Schools, Jackson, MI
This was going to be Fairport's first real push into mobile labs and we wanted to be sure that the cart we ultimately chose would hold up to the use and would be usable by the teaching staff, so we spent nearly 3 months touring neighboring school districts and looking at mobile laptop carts from other vendors. We found that nearly all other carts on the market had two major issues with them; the doors opened out (a hazard to younger students), and the laptops could not all be charged at once. In addition, the construction of EarthWalk mobile labs seemed much more heavy duty than most of the competitors.

EarthWalk's mobile labs allow us to be sure that the laptops are all charged overnight and between classes. With the newer laptop batteries, it is important to not allow the battery to discharge fully very often. Only the EarthWalk carts allowed us to charge all of the laptops at one time. Additionally, the heavy duty construction of the mobile labs has made maintenance a non-issue. We have not had a service call for any of the 15 mobile labs we are currently using in our district.

I really enjoyed working with EarthWalk in meeting our mobile computer lab needs. They are very responsive to our desires, and cheerfully made same small changes to the power leads for the mobile labs as our laptop standard changes in our district. Our users are happy with the way the carts hold up to daily use in the classroom. Overall, the EarthWalk mobile cart is the best on the market in my opinion.
