Congress has appropriated $65 million for Community Technology Center program development. Community Technology Centers provide access to information technology and related learning services to children and adults. The US DOE expects awards to range from $75,000 to $300,000.

21st Century Literacy Community Grants Program Through the 21st Century Literacy Community Grants program, the Foundation supports community-based organizations that work directly with teens in the non-school hours to teach 21st century skills using media, technology and community involvement.

Bell South Foundation The BellSouth Foundation invests the majority of its grantmaking funds in its Special Initiatives through a targeted request for proposal process. However, a limited number of Opportunity Grants are available for unsolicited proposals that compliment Special Initiatives or issues where the BellSouth Foundation is currently focusing its work.

Citigroup Foundation Working with a global network of colleagues and partners, the Foundation gives grants focused in three main areas:
Financial Education, Educating the Next Generation, Building Communities and Entrepreneurs.

Coca-Cola Foundation The Coca-Cola Foundation aims to provide youth with the educational opportunities and support systems they need to become knowledgeable and productive citizens.

Corning Foundation Grants Corning's areas of involvement have included community service programs for students, curriculum enrichment, student scholarships, facility improvement, and instructional technology projects for the classroom.

Gates Foundation Grants The Gates Foundation seeks programs that emphasize small classes and the use of technology for long term improvement.


Grosvenor Grant Program is offered by the National Geographic Society Education Foundation.


Improving Literacy Through School Libraries is a federal program that encourages effective use of technology.

The Nellie Mae Foundation is promoting effective, accessible, quality education for all ages and people, especially under-served populations, in the six New England states.

The Real NetWorks Foundation, created by the streaming media company RealNetWorks, the Foundation supports projects that enhance the quality of life in areas where RealNetworks' employees live and work and enable alternative voices or foster the right of free speech throughout the world.

Technology Opportunities Program In 2003 (TOP) grants awarded $13.95 million to 28 non-profit organizations, including state, local, and tribal governments, in 22 states.

Verizon Foundation Verizon Foundation supports programs that create innovative eSolutions, help bridge the digital divide, foster basic and computer literacy, help enrich our communities, and create a skilled workforce.
