EarthWalk GRADUATES FROM THE VIRGINIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP'S (VEDP) VIRGINIA LEADERS IN EXPORT TRADE (VALET) PROGRAM
EarthWalk Communications' Inc. touts impressive results through increase international sales during two years in program
(Richmond) - EarthWalk Communications, Inc. is one of four companies to graduate from Virginia Econonic Development Partnership's (VEDP) Virginia Leaders in Export Trade or VALET program by demonstrating impressive results in the exportation of products and services overseas through increased international sales during the past two years in the program and solidified or growning its Virginia operations.
Launched in January 2002, the VALET program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy. Participating firms are chosen based on their dedication to growth through export. The VALET program is one of two state export programs that parovide participating companies with assistance from a team of experienced international service providers to help them meet their international goals. Service providers such as attorneys, Web designers, bankers translators and freight forwarders contribute essential expertise for expansion into international markets.
The VEDP, a markeing organization, was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1995 to encourage, stimulate, and support the development and expansion of the economy of the Commonwealth. The Partnership is a state authority, which is governed by a 21-member Board of Directors appointed by the Governor and the Virginia General Assembly. To accomplish its objectives of promoting economic expansion within the Commonwealth, the Partnership focuses its efforts on business recruitment, expansion and international trade. VEDP has offices in Virginia, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Brazil, Korea and Japan.

EarthWalk ESTABLISHES LEARNING CENTER IN MONTERREY, MEXICO
Community Engagement Center to Help Train Teachers and Integrate Technology into School Curriculum
(State of Nuevo Leon, MEXICO) - In January 2007, EarthWalk Communications, Inc. was invited by the National Council for Community Education Partnership - Mexico A.C (NCCEP-Mexico A.C) to showcase their technology as part of the National Center for School Improvement and Community Engagement Project in Monterrey, Mexico. Since then, EarthWalk has established a permanent learning center in Monterrey to help train teachers to integrate technology into school curriculum. The learning center consists of several mobile labs configured with Science, Math and English as a second language interactive software. The Community Engagement Center will also serve as an educational platform to further Education Technology initiatives and programs in the State of Nuevo Leon and throughout Mexico. To further support the children of Mexico, EarthWalk donated 410 laptops and 20 computer labs to be used in underserved rural areas of Mexico to enhance HIV/AIDS awareness. The inauguration of the Community Engagement Center is slated for August 2007. |

Jordan Ministry of Education, USAID, and others to
help develop Jordanian students’ 21st century skills
with Computers-on-Wheels pilot program CLICK ON THUMBNAIL IMAGE AT RIGHT TO DOWNLOAD CASE STUDY
In 2006, EarthWalk partnered with AED and Intel for the
Computers-on-Wheels (COW) pilot to help transform the
way Jordanian students develop essential 21st century
skills. The approaches to this pilot include providing students
and teachers with access to effective information and
communications technology (ICT) resources, and delivering
effective professional development to teachers that enables
successful integration of ICT into teaching and learning. This project uses EarthWalk’s mobile computer labs and
eBuddy wireless lalptops with integrated Intel technology.
These ICT resources were implemented into classrooms
at four different schools. Teachers at the schools have been trained in project-based learning using the EarthWalk wireless mobile lab technology for accessing the Internet, making the best use of the computers, and using classroom management software.
