eBuddy® laptop family. The 8.1 series notebook PC
has a rugged design with a magnesium shell, spill proof
keyboard and fully integrated wireless. The 8.1 eBuddy
sets new semi-ruggedized standards for vibration tolerance
and accidental drops.
Designed specifically for classroom and training needs,
this semi-ruggedized version can take the rigors of
multiple users and a few accidental drops. The combination
of an Intel Pentium 4 1.4 GHz processor, up to 40 GB
hard drive availability, and high quality Lithium-Ion
quick swap batteries make the eBuddy 8.1 a tool for
student testing as well as instruction.
These state-of-the-art notebooks allow for transparent
accessibility to existing wired Ethernet networks and
pack the next generation of connectivity features: 802.11
DSSS RF wireless integrated interface, 2MB-11MB data
transfer compatible, and optional built-in "Bluetooth"
802.11b or GPSRS modules. With this robust, interference
resistant and secured multi-channel transmission system,
the eBuddy 8.1 is an outstanding option for the heavy
wear and tear of any learning environment. EarthWalk

education, federal government, and international organizations
with this new model.
