MANASSAS, VIRGINIA
May 24, 2004 - EarthWalk Communications,
Inc. has engaged CADA Sistemas Informáticos SL
as its wireless computer lab distributor in Spain and
Portugal: The President of CADA Sistemas, Juan Miguel
Márquez Riquelme, agreed in April 2004 to become
a full distributor and support center for EarthWalk. CADA
Sistemas' initial focus for EarthWalk's products will
be in Spain and Portugal, but they have also begun marketing
EarthWalk products in Venezuela, where Juan has been selling
software to the educational community and government for
20 years, through a sister company: Sistemas NCS.
EarthWalk and CADA Sistemas have already received an
overwhelming response from the educational communities
in Spain and Portugal, while exhibiting at Online Educa
Madrid, in April. There is currently a large government
drive for increasing educational technology within the
Spanish school system, and EarthWalk hopes to become
a part of this initiative. Interest from the Spanish
educational community has led to discussions for a pilot
project with a prestigious group of private schools
interested in EarthWalk's total turnkey solution the
NetWize System.
EarthWalk and CADA Sistemas also caught the attention
of Venezuelan business delegates during Online Educa
Madrid. A large national company has a specific interest
in utilizing EarthWalk's NetWize eXpress for workforce
training in Venezuela, and negotiations are currently
under way.
EarthWalk's Vice President of International Markets,
Scarlet Gleeson, has high expectations for Juan and
his team in Spain, Portugal, and Venezuela. "Juan's
knowledge as an engineer and software developer will
enable him to represent Earthwalk's technology from
a valuable engineering perspective," she explained.
"His extensive business experience and engineering
expertise will complement EarthWalk very well in this
exciting and developing market, and we are thrilled
to have him on board."
