
The Los Angeles Unified School District will become the largest school district in the country to seek corporate sponsorships in an effort to make up for budget shortfalls.
The Los Angeles district has sliced $1.5 billion from its operating budget, leaving the budget at $5.4 billion, and schools have been told to expect more drastic cuts when a new budget is presented by Governor-elect Jerry Brown next month.
